About

Meet Dr Justin Lee

I want you to leave feeling looked after, not just relieved it's over.

I'm a general dentist at Pacific Smiles Dental Belconnen, inside Westfield. I see patients of all ages, from first check-ups through to people who haven't sat in a dental chair for a decade. This page is the longer version: how I work, where I trained, and who I am when I'm not holding a mirror.

How I run an appointment

Dentistry has a reputation for being stressful, and I don't think that's inevitable. Most of it comes down to how the visit is run.

01

You'll know what's happening before it happens

I explain what I'm looking at and why, in plain language, before I pick anything up. No running commentary in jargon, and nothing sprung on you once you're in the chair.

02

The appointment runs at your pace

I would rather take the time to do something properly than stay on schedule for its own sake. If you need a break, or a minute, that is a normal part of the visit.

03

I'll tell you when something can wait

Not everything needs treating today. If something is worth watching rather than fixing, I will say so, and you will get a clear quote before anything goes ahead.

Where I trained, and what I treat

I completed my Bachelor of Dental Science at Charles Sturt University in 2021, have practised in Canberra since 2022, and joined Pacific Smiles Dental Belconnen in 2025.

My scope covers general dentistry end to end: check-ups and cleans, fillings, children's dentistry, cosmetic work, orthodontics, gum care, sleep appliances and emergency treatment. If something falls outside what I do well, I'll tell you and point you to someone who does it better.

“The best part of this job is watching someone go from nervous walking in, to booking their next check-up without a second thought.”

Outside the clinic

Most of my time goes to family, and to photography. I like the way visiting somewhere new and photographing it gives you a different way of looking at things, which turns out not to be a bad habit to bring into dentistry either.

One piece of advice

Find a dentist you actually look forward to seeing.

Whether that ends up being me or someone else, find someone you trust and feel comfortable with. Over the years, that relationship matters more than any single treatment. If that's what you're after, I'd be glad to be that dentist for you and your family.
